MyChemicals is like a set of temporary bookmarks to individual chemical data sheets in CAMEO Chemicals. You can create those bookmarks at any time while you work with CAMEO Chemicals. Generally, the bookmarks last only as long as you're working with CAMEO Chemicals, but you can choose to save them to use again during later sessions. Why would I want to bookmark chemical data sheets?
You might want to save a set of chemicals in MyChemicals if, for example:
You routinely deal with the same chemicals (e.g., they are regularly transported to your port or through your city).
You're responding to a complex incident involving many chemicals.
You want to archive the chemicals involved in a major incident or drill you worked on.
You want to predict potential reactivity between substances in a laboratory, fixed facility, or shipping container.
You can use MyChemicals for three things:
Bookmark chemical data sheets so you can refer to them later.
Print chemical information reports for all the substances in your MyChemicals collection.
View predicted reactivity between the substances in your MyChemicals collection.
You can choose to keep your MyChemicals collection only temporarily, or to save your MyChemicals bookmarks to your hard drive for use during a later session with CAMEO Chemicals. (You also can add a chemical's data sheet to your browser's list of bookmarks [or Favorites], just as you would add any webpage to your browser's bookmarks list.)
