Search
Enter a chemical name or identification number to begin searching for datasheets.
In a simple search, you can only search one field at a time:
choose to run either a name search, a CAS number search, or a UN/NA number search.

Name Searches
- Enter a complete or partial name. A partial name may yield numerous results. For example, searching on "fluor" will find both fluorine and fluoride.
- Spaces and punctuation are searched for exactly as you type them in. For example, searching "dimethyl chlorine" will NOT find "chlorine, dimethyl" because the punctuation and word order are different. Because of this, leave off prefixes (such as para- or 1,2-). More Info...

Found results will include:
- Chemical datasheets (that matched on chemical names or alternate chemical names).
- UN/NA datasheets (that matched on material names from the Emergency Response Guidebook or proper shipping names from 49 CFR 172.101).
- Reactive group datasheets (that matched on reactive group names).
- Enter a complete CAS number (with or without dashes). For example, 7782-50-5 is the CAS number for chlorine.
- Found results will include all chemical datasheets with that CAS number.
- CAS numbers are created by the Chemical Abstracts Service as unique identifiers for chemicals.
- Enter a 4-digit UN/NA number (without any UN or NA prefix). For example, 1017 is the UN/NA number for chlorine.
- If the UN/NA number is valid, you'll go directly to the UN/NA datasheet for that number.
- United Nations-North America numbers identify an individual chemical or group of chemicals with similar characteristics. These numbers are required on shipping papers and often shown on placards and labels.
